Default 2004 DS - Sell or Rebuild

We have a 2004 DS that we paid $2400.00 for 3 years ago. Installed new batteries and aluminum wheels (10") with new tires (16" tall). We have about 4k invested. I've seen 2015 DS selling for $2500 in our area with old batteries so not sure what I'd ever get for this 2004 with new ones.

Would I be best to try and sell this 2004 DS for what I can get and start with a newer chassis or rebuild what we have?

I've seen and like the Double Take - Club Car DS "Spartan" body kits for $550.00. We want it lifted and hope to install the Plum Quick motor or similar in whatever we do buy. Hoping for a 30 mph cart so I can keep up with traffic in our 35 mph neighborhood without having too many cars tailgating behind me. I'd like to be able to tune down the speed for when my wife is using it if that's possible. Of course stereo and lighting and all the toys would be great. I have a 5 year old, so seat belts on the rear are a must.

Thank you in advance for your help.

If that is a DS-IQ cart (AQ serial #) then no way would I get rid of that. It is paid for and PERFECT for upgrading.

Alltrax XCT500-IQ Controller
2 gauge cables
Plum Quick Executioner Motor (or Admiral A-2 but it is not as fast)
400a solenoid
6" Allsports Double A-arm Lift
22" tires
And you are on the brakes in that neighbood tryin not to exceed the speed limit. Just know when you get to the high 20's and to the 30's, you will ne outrunning your brakes capabilities and will need to upgrade them too!
