We have a 98 ish gas ezgo. And we just bought a yzf 450 chassis. We are wondering if anyone else has already done this

Re: Suspension change
They do make a quad version.
I had one in the shop last year: an old Cushman flatbed industrial cart that the owner had converted to a YZF450 suspension. Had been a 36 volt electric and he changed it to a 670 cc Predator gas engine. Brought it to me to finish little things like brakes, steering, throttle. Unfortunately I don't have a picture, but it did come together to make a drivable buggy. |

Re: Suspension change
well club car would be the wrong cart to use seeing how it has an aluminum frame.. if you wanted to graft a quads front suspension onto a golf cart you prolly should start with a steel frame ezgo... seeing as how this is the gas ezgo section..

Re: Suspension change
The club car front suspension is mostly steel.
With "how" the club car front suspension mounts, I think it would probably be easier to work with than yamaha or ezgo where the suspension points are part of the frame. You'll just have to do a little more fabricating from scratch vs. Cutting and welding, which I think actually would give you more flexibility. You would get more/better response in the lifted golf cart section here. Lots of people have already done this type of thing, and more. |
