Default Home made lift

I had a request for photo of a 1/2 inch home made lift I made a while back. I could not see how to include it in a PM so I will post it here this way others can see it if they want the ideal as well. I used two pieces of 1/4 by 1 1/2 inch steel. Also made one of 1/2 inch al

Did you need to extend the bolts? Got any before and after pics? How much lift did it net?

I used 1/2 inch longer grade 5 bolts. This lift with HD rear springs allow for 20 inch tires with no rubbing. Notice I put the block above the spring against the frame so you still have your front end alignment adjustments. I have an after photo with 20 inch tires.

Nice! I used 1" boxed steel and the alignment pin fit perfect in the hole for it. I also used the longer bolts. In back I used flat steel and made my own 6" brackets.

How much lift did you get with 6” shackles? Was that center to center for the bolt holes?

About inch and a half to 2 inches. No 6'' Total from tip to tip.
