1999 club car
my 99 club car when you press on the gas to start it some times it dont go and just makes a humming noise. then the moter will start and it runs fine. what could be the problem?

The belt is loose and needs to be tightened.

With the starter/generator belt tension bracket. Loosen the bolt, pull the starter back more and tighten the bolt.
