Club Car has an IQ sepex system which will get you close to 20 mph all stock. That is really as fast you will go without motor/controller upgrades. Series and IQ carts are easy to upgrade, however the new Excel system is not upgradable and must be converted to IQ in order to upgrade. It's not that hard I've heard, just swapping out a $200 plug and play harness...

Good luck with your search and welcome to BGW!

My cart I got is an I2 Excel. What is the reason for converting to IQ for upgrades? What is involved in the swap? I have the speed code 4 installed but really want as much torque as possible for off road and pulling a small trailer for debris removal.

The reason for converting is that there aren't upgrades for the Excel system. Convert it to IQ and use any IQ controller you want

Replacing the entire harness and controller are what's involved

I have an excel cart and bought a new 500amp controller from fsip without swapping out the harness. And it works great.

Yep, I think they are the first to make an aftermarket controller for the Excel system...

Cost is $609.00 for the controller, by the time you buy an IQ wire harness and a controller plus the time and effort to replace it. You will still be sitting at a $609.00 price tag. Just get the controller from fsip then plug and play.
