Default ez go marathon 4" lift rear coil spring suggestion

hello ,all
just trying to figure out which coil-over spring i should use for the rear of my 88 marathon as it has a 4 inch lift using automotive( monroe shocks in the rear) and im going to put either a rear seat kit, or a bed with a removable high rack. i know the stock rear coils are 10" and are 175-200lbs. i already have the rear 4" spacer i was thinking about leaving the 4" spacer and going wit ha 12" spring rated for 500lbs per spring. that would add another 2" to the rear as it sits. i would really like some input from those who have done this before as how the ride is stiff, springy, soft

Springs can be tricky,,,, I would go for the cheapest one you can find "just in case" I don't think you would need to double the capacity though maybe try to find something in the 350 -400 L.B. range. but 12" long.

Here's what I did when I added a 4" lift on my marathon.

1989,

I have a 94 Marathon and I am planning on using a 4" lift kit as well. Do you have part numbers for the coil over shocks?

Also, are your coil springs original?

If i raise my rear springs 4" is there enough travel in the stock socks or would i have to replace them as well? Will that change engine heighth as well or is it just lifting the body?

I don't have a part number, but they are 14-3/4" eye to eye. I got them on ebay. The black coils are stock.

Thanks for the info.

I am looking at both the typical block lift kits and the drop spindle. Correct me if I'm wrong but the only difference is that the drop spindle type pushes the front tires forward and give you a little more ground clearance in the front, correct?

If I went with a block type kit, I could use taller rear coil spring and eliminate the 4" spacers as well as using longer shocks to eliminate the shock extensions, correct?

I have an 89 EZGO gas marathon with a 4" lift with a coil spring rear. I just added a rear bench seat to my that now causes the cart to bottom out. I replaced the rear shocks ( Monroe 32207 ) but the cart still bottoms out. I believe the stock coil springs are rated at 200lbs. What size coil springs did you use to resolve the issue?
