my 79 ezgo build
i picked up a 79 ezgo gasser for $50 non-running and 98% complete. before i could drive it i had to buy a muffler, plug&wire, internal starter brushes, belt, rear brake shoes and on and on. lets just say it was a train wreck. it was not maintained and everything around the motor went to hell in a hand basket. heres what it looked like when i started. it was in this shape for a year and everytime i took it out something else would fail or break and i'd be pushing it on the trailer. so after i fixed everything it was time to put it away so thats where the transformation begins.

the start of my new marathon i basically tore the whole cart down to almost the frame. i stated sanding the old paint off of everything and started over. with the amount of sand paper and discs i went through it would've been cheaper to have it sand blasted. heres some more pics. my 4 yr old grandson picked both the colors on the cart.

i spent like a month sanding on my cart. it was all bomb can primer and satin black paint except the cowl, rear fenders and firewall. those were painted with satin black tractor paint. i also painted the floor, inside glove box and all the undersides of the body panels with duplicolor truck bedliner in a can. ok heres some more pics.
