I'm fixing to install the Jakes front disc brakes I bought for the woody. I want rear also but haven't come up with anything yet. Any info would be nice.
When you design your system the master cylinder needs to matched to the volume of fluid needed to move each caliper and then build pressure. My first master cylinder had a bore of 1 inch and was not matched to the needs of the calipers and no matter how hard you pushed the brake pedal -- no stop.
The Jake's brake kits uses WilWood calipers, The master cylinder that comes with the kit has a 5/8" bore -- to supply 4 calipers you need 2 times the fluid output as the cylinder that pushes 2. It also needs to be safe. This is the master cylinder that is matched to push 4 WilWood calipers. It also gives a margin of safety if you blow a line. You can get it on Ebay cheaper.

It is made for 4 wheel disc brakes. I have 2 vehicles setup with this master. One side to the front the other side to the rear, just like a car.

I've reach out to Essexs they seem to be the only distributor in the US but haven't got a response. Hoping you might have an idea or work around. Thanks and great write up!

In the spirit of keeping this thread alive I've began fitting my club car precedent with miata calipers and honda civic rotors.

I purchased a full set mazda miata brakes for $100 bucks. Came with 4 rotors, 4 mounts and 4 calipers. I had zero luck with the rotors on the front hubs. The hat ID is way to small and the center hole was also about 5mm to small. I ended up purchasing 2001 honda civic rotors. They fit great only required drilling the lug holes out. I used 37/64 drill bit on a drill press the pattern fits like a glove on the 4x4 hubs.

A few test miles with the rotors on went flawless no vibration or anything to report it would appear all is well! Next step is to get my caliper brackets cut and welded on.

Hey sorry for the lack of response. All my purchases were via luck and ebay. I havent been on here lately.
Having a lathe boring the ID of the hat and opening the center were simple. A little late now. Also set up to do a function like that at an automotive or job shop might only cost a 6 pack
Never got around to the front and after many electrical gremlins this cart has been parked til my ego recovers. It has been thru at least 4 professionals shops only to not know why it wont move. I have taken suspicious parts out and tested them in other carts and all works fine.
