Default Anybody Florida street legal?

Any of you have a registered cart in FLA? I'm going through the rules and I'm only a few bucks away cart wise.

Defined by Florida Statute 320.01(42) as “any four-wheeled electric vehicles whose top speed is greater than 20 miles per hour but not greater than 25 miles per hour,”

Stop lamps, turn signal lamps, headlamps, taillamps, parking brakes
Rearview mirrors, reflex reflectors, windshields, seat belts, and VIN's
Must be registered and insured in accordance with current regulations (s. 320.02)
The drivers of low speed vehicles must have valid driver’s licenses

Would be rad to just drive around town without trying to avoid cops!

There are a bunch in my area but mine are not. The other thing you might look into is streets authorized for travel with them. Here, it is anything under 35 mph posted I believe....

Yea, I'm kinda lucky on the 35 law. We have one main road in my itsy bitsy city that's 35 the whole way

Connects to all I need - Friends, Publix, BJ's, CVS, Starbucks, Sushi... you get the point.

I figure it may be worth it to just go for it and do what it takes to get it registered as a LSV

...one minute I find a blinker harness under the dash.. The next I'm ready to spend another $500 to make the cart street legal... The addiction has begun

I've owned this thing for 8 days and the bank account has gone down like I got lost in Vegas!

I bought a cart in Pensacola registered at DMV then brought it back to Alabama and was able to get a tag for it.

What was the registration process in FLA like? I imagine they can't make you drive the cart to the DMV - do they come to you for inspection or expect you to tow it?

Did you get a standard car tag or a motorcycle tag? Or is there a specific one for LSV's?

I paid for Buggyworx in pensacola to do it. But basiclly they refurbed the cart and put all street legal required parts on it. Then they took the cart to DMV and then they weighed and inspected the cart. If your cart passes they will then assign a vin number and issue a title. My title says 2012 ezgo LSV. You could call them and speak to the girl that handles registering the carts. I think her name was Angel. If not she is the only girl that works there. Do not talk to a sales man about it.
