Default how to tell what gear in rear?

My buddy just picked up an 02 cc gas cart, he was told it had high speed rear gears, it does about 26 mph, has 23/10/12 tires. We jacked up the passenger rear, marked the input shaft on the rear, and spun the tire, we got 4 turns in the shaft to one turn on the hub, we were expecting either 8-1 or 6-1, but got 4-1. what gives?

maybe nothing gives, theres no real way to tell what they put in or even if they put anything in unless your ready to tear it down.......do you want to know that bad? try and ask whoever owned the cart and did the change maybe they,ll know.

That's about right because we have a 06 with 23" tires and getting 28 mph when the govenor shuts it down!! I would say stock gears is what you have.
