RXV Noise from Back Axle area
I have a 2008 EzGo RXV. I just got it a few weeks ago. I have noticed a noise from the rear end area when I either hit a bump with both tires at the same time, or when I start from a stop on a incline. It's a hard bump, almost feels like it's a suspension part "bottoming" out, I would think this is what's happening if it was only doing it when I hit a bump, but since it does it when I start up a incline from a complete stop, I'm not sure what it is...has anyone else ever heard of this?

Re: RXV Noise from Back Axle area
There is a warranty repair for this that needs to be performed by an authorized dealership. Since you have a used one and warranties are not transferable, you may have to pay for the service. It's basically a rear end additive...

Re: RXV Noise from Back Axle area
thanks for the quick reply, but I'm surprised it would be fixed by a fluid to the rear end. It really feels like something is loose or a bushing is missing...but I will make a call to the dealership to see what they say....

Re: RXV Noise from Back Axle area
The rear end is doing what it is supposed to do - The additive is only available from Graingers in my area - It's a "FRICTION MODIFIER"

Re: RXV Noise from Back Axle area
Located here in Arkansas, got a dealer in town, If it's just having to add the friction modifier to the rear end, how much will I be looking at for the fluid? I think I can do the labor part...got access to clubs maintance dept.

Re: RXV Noise from Back Axle area
I don't have the exact mixture in front of me. Your factory EZGO dealership should be able to tell you tomorrow. If not, call our shop

Re: RXV Noise from Back Axle area
Local shop didn't have a clue about a "additive" that would help this type of problem and had never had this type of problem with rear end...does the rear end have clutches that are "binding" up and this is where the "additive" will help...?
