What's the normal stock gear ratio...
On an '89 EZGO electric marathon. I saw it in a thread somewhere and now I can't find it. Also... would anyone happen to know where I can find a gear ratio-to-sprocket calculator? I had a link saved on my old computer for finding it out on my streetbike. But I don't have it on this one.
Thanks, monkeyboy |

Don't quote me but I think most of these carts are 12:1

Can you explain this a little better? Gear ratio-to-sprocket calculator? I have a speed chart that takes the gear alone with rear tire size & rpm and Calculates your speed. Hopes this helps. |

You don't need to pull anything. It's 12:1

Re: What's the normal stock gear ratio...
I thought it was 12:1. I knew it was pretty high(numerically) compared to a car.
As for the sprocket conversion chart. I'll start looking for it. I might be dreaming to. I might've been looking at a sprocket to speed calculator. All I can remeber is I used it to figure out how what gears I needed to make my brothers ninja 250 do 110mph. Like I said I'll look... I'm thinking about getting a sprocket made to put on the input shaft (just to try it). I know I should just find a gas rear-end. And does anyone got any ideas on where the cheapest batteries would be found? I found the local battery store was $70 for there brand and $90 for exides. So I haven't cancelled out the idea of staying electric. But does wal-mart, or k-mart, or rural king carry golf cart batteries? I always like to shop around locally if I can. Thanks for the replies! Maybe I'll figure out what I'm actually doing and have my own knowledge to share. I stayed up until 1:08 this morning reading thru all the extreme DC posts and some of the EZGO posts.... |

Your local battery dealer will have the best prices. DO NOT buy them online.
