Unhappy g14 rear axle help

long story short I have a lifted g14. This past weekend the stud on one of the brackets broke, and the axle twisted a bit. I replaced the stud with a bolt. Later I noticed oil coming from the weep hole on the passenger side upper axle housing. w every time I drive it I get a 2-3 inch puddle. What would cause this?

Usually this occurs if the axle is overfull. Have you recently serviced the rearend or added any fluid? This might help:

Thanks for the help. The pic looks different than what I am seeing. A few inches outboard from the diff on top of the axle housing is a small white plastic cap. The 90wt gear oil is coming from there.

You sure you don't have a G16? Where is the oil fill plug on yours? Does yours have a removable inspection plate (like a truck rearend)?

According to the vin its a g14. It does have a removable cover. Not sure where the fill port is. I bought the cart done so its possable its a mismatch of parts.

Sounds like a G16. You should have a little rubber plug on the inspection plate as the fill tube. Pop it off and see if fluid seeps out. It may just be overfull. About one quart should be sufficient if I remember correctly (75w90). I had a 99 G16 and it would leak a "little" out the vent tube if running it hard. Yours sounds excessive though.

G-14 and g-16 rear ends are about the same. The plastic cap is a vent hole. Have you been in any water with it?
I would pull the rear cover and drain out all oil. Refill with new oil thru the rubber plug till it starts to run out.
