Re: Full synthetic
There is no simple answer to your question. It depends on what major distribution center your local walmart gets its oil from and what grade oil. They all get there oil from different places. Specialty Oil Company, Warren Distribution, Exxon/Mobile all produce Walmart Oil. (and some others) The only way to tell where the bottle of supertech oil is produced is to look on the bottom of the bottle and the grade. Something on the bottom like WPP will be Warren. Since your in Texas its natural to think that Specialty Oil Company located in Houston Texas produced the Supertech bottle of oil.....but you never know.
This is a SYNTHETIC BLEND, NOT A FULL SYNTHETIC. http://msds.walmartstores.com/cache/24014_1.pdf I will however point out that this one is made by Specialty Oil Company also but in L.A. ("Owned" by Penzoil-Quaker State. This doesn't mean they also "own" Specialty Oil Company in Houston Texas.) This says all grades of Supertech oil is made by Specialty Oil Products in Houston Texas. http://msds.walmartstores.com/cache/6068_2.pdf This 5W-30 http://msds.walmartstores.com/cache/26901_1.pdf was made by EXXON-MOBILE in V.A. This 5w-30 was made by Warren Distribution in Omaha N.E. http://msds.walmartstores.com/cache/35603_1.pdf You can look at the datasheets all day long....you'll be baffled with BS. Supertech Oil but all have different MFG's. Depends on the grade and distribution center. You might go here and type in all the information on the bottle. |
