I Need Help Finding an LED Like This
I am looking for an LED cluster to use on our golf cart as a visible reminder when the turn signal is left on. The type I am looking for is shown in the two pictures below. It is about 1.5 inches tall, about 1" wide, and about 1 inch deep. It has a number of individual red LED lights and these are not super bright. They are visible in the day but will not blind the driver at night. A friend said he bought a two-pack of these in the past at Walmart. I have looked at a lot of brick and mortar stores including Lowes, three Walmarts, Rural King, several auto parts stores, and Harbor Freight with no joy. I have also looked online without success.
I am hoping that someone with better Google-** skills than I have can find these online are at a store. If so, please send me a link to the online location or the name of the store where you saw it and the product name/number. Thanks. G'day, Vinish |

Re: I Need Help Finding an LED Like This
I have been looking at LED's for a while now for a custom build. Never seen those.
Anybody seen them? I think I could use a set too. Vinish, can you find any name or number on them? |

Re: I Need Help Finding an LED Like This
Sorry, I don't have possession of these LEDs. They are commonly seen on golf carts here in The Villages, FL. I just took pictures of these on a random cart that I was walking by. It is not my cart so the owner would probably object if I took these LED lights off the cart to look at the back for a part number :)

They look like tail/brake lights for a rear fender on a motorcycle.
I have never seen anything like that at Walmart, Tractor Supply, etc. |

Re: I Need Help Finding an LED Like This
Those are older led rock lights.
Each clear "bump" is a led. I haven't seen any vendors that carry old stock like those. The new led rock lights on ebay have three leds in a COB (circuit on board) construction put out the same lumen of light. Then how deep are the pockets and what does the person want the led lights to do, change color, flash, cycle specific, beat to music and ect. There are some leds called "eagle eyes" that are 9 watts, huge output of light in different colors, just plain steady glow. I've used these on projects because of their high lumen output and cost savings over "rock lights". |

Re: I Need Help Finding an LED Like This
I want these lights to be small and LOW light output. I am not trying to illuminate anything. I want these to merely alert the golf cart driver that the turn signal has been left on. They will be mounted on the front left roof support pillar so they cannot be too bright or they will blind the driver at night.

Re: I Need Help Finding an LED Like This
Why not a flush mount indicator light in the dash, that flashes with the turn signal? Small and low output, the flashing would help it stick out to the driver. Cheap enough you could do two, one for each turn signal.

Re: I Need Help Finding an LED Like This
A flush mount would certainly work but I would prefer to use a pod on the front left roof pillar as this is more directly in the driver's view and the pods are much easier to mount than would be a flush mount type.
