Should work, some assembly required. Get a tapered shaft same size as clutch on old motor, or buy taper adapters or non tapered clutch.

What u gonna do with cart? Offroad? Pavement? Hauler?jack*** stunts? Or all the above?

I just cant find a core to send back. you would think theres one laying around somewhere. Paid a bunch for this cart and it let out a big puddle of oil

Core? Hf didn't ask me for a core. Id be sceptical of a used golf cart motor... I have 2 of them blow up. Not sure on the longevity of the 290s... I went with the 670 for the oil pump and filter figured as i ride all the above😉 best to make sure im getting oil. I would go with aleast the 420... Why put a smaller motor?

And tapered shaft if possible, there's ways around a straight shaft, just more stuff to buy
