Custom Electric Cart Builder Recommendations
Hi there, I live half the year on an island in a part of the world where off road electric golf carts are the sole form of transportation, and after living with a stock Club Car 48v IQ for 10 or so years, am ready to take the plunge on a significant upgrade.
I unfortunately don't have the time to do a build myself, so am looking for recommendations on a custom shop to take on the project. Initially thinking: - Donor cart will be a new stock cart (clean slate) - Lithium ion (less maintenance, less weight) - Replace all steel parts with aluminum or stainless steel (cart will live in highly corrosive environment) - Lifted for rough roads, full travel suspension with quality parts - High performance motor / controller - Ability to lock performance at a low setting when friends, family, or renters use the buggy (Bluetooth? hidden switch? RFID?) Less concerned with a budget, more concerned with finding the right shop to take this on and build it the right way. Don't really care where the shop is located either, happy to do this remote. Any shop recommendations or suggestions on any of the above features would be greatly appreciated, thank you. |

Thanks for the reply, I'm all over so I don't really care where the shop is, happy to handle the build remotely and ship when done.

Contact Dave at "Revolution Golf Cars". I don't know if he will do the project for you but he is in the hub of where the new carts are and has most if not all the parts you will need.

Thanks for the heads up on Revolution Golf Cars, I'll contact Dave. Also came across Plowman's while searching around, any thoughts on whether or not they'd be a good fit for this build?

I have never dealt with Plowman's because I rarely have need for anything Yamaha. However I have never heard anything but good things said about them.

Re: Custom Electric Cart Builder Recommendations
Curious how your search for a custom shop turned out. I'm in a similar situation and looking for someone who really does quality work, Thanks
