96' EZGO Shocks / Springs
A 96 ezgo was given to me and the rear shocks were disconected. Why? The shackels are at least 4" long and lift the back end. Is this common or has the cart been modified. Does anyone have a good pic of the rear suspension and how the shocks conect to the axle on a factory cart? Thanks!!!

Re: 96' EZGO Shocks / Springs
Thanks for the welcome. The pic really helps. I stoped by the ezgo dealer today and he feels that someone put a 94' and older rear end on a 96' cart. The leaf springs are on the top of the axle and the mount that holds the shocks is on the front side of the axle. Looks like I see a little mod coming on. Wish me luck. Any ideas let me know. Thanks for the help!!!!

Sounds like to me that cart had a lift kit installed on it. A lot of lifts move the springs above the axles. Kits generally come with brackets to reinstall shocks.

Mike B,
Can ya post a pic of the rear and shock area? As you can see from above, we're a slow bunch that are easily distracted and pictures help alot for ideas. |
