With the shocks that I am running I have about 6-7" of suspension travel. That in mind, my previous muffler works great where it was...it was just too restrictive. I could make that muffler work where it is and not break again due to the fact that it doesn't weigh that much. I had already cut it in half and removed one of the internal baffles(there are two, a baffle insert and then a spark arrestor) and re-welded it back together. Most mufflers that have any sound control have some weight to them. Since the cylinder angles towards the back of the cart it limits where you can make brakets that connect the muffler to the engine or motor mount. If you have seen these motors idle at a low rpm you would know that having a solid mounted muffler attached to the header would be hell on the studs holding the header to the motor.

Just finished my exhaust version 2.0 and other than it being kinda "in your face," it works well and is a lot more quiet. Probably going to paint it black so it won't stand out so much. Actually sounds about like a stock ATV instead of a lawnmower. I will post a video but the sound quality isn't so good.IMG_20130209_160743.jpg

Alright...I put a coat of VHT flat black on the exhaust. It was bugging the shidits out of me. The way it hangs down out back it reminds me of all the diesels with the 5-8" smoke stacks out the top of the truck bed by the cab. It's not to far off of having a honda civic with a 5" exhuast tip... If I left it chrome I think I should just get a DUB sticker and two sets of three chrome "engine vent holes." Just like the Buick style. Plus I might get some Yosemite Sam mud flaps for good measure...I just love Yosemite Sam mud flaps...J/K

Went out and put some more time in the saddle today. Actually got about 2 hours ride time in. Did great and keeps surprising me with the added torque. Had alot of people asking about it on the trails. Everything worked great except for my header pipe cracked again. At least I know my welds aren't the weak point.

When I had the clone in my cart every header I made cracked, must be the vibration. The last one I tried I used rubber mounts to the cradle, still cracked
