Charging issues.
I just was given an 1997 ezgo from a family member. The batteries were completely dead. I charged two of them up overnight (about 10hrs). I went to plug the cart charger and it still will not click on. I added distilled water, took the caps off when I charged them. I have taken one of the trojan batteries and it is registering 5.83 volts. I have a couple of questions;
1. Where you plug the cart charger into the cart there seems to be a button switch of some sorts. Can this be why it wont charge with the cart charger? 2. What is this button for? 3. What else can I do to get the cart charger to kick in? Thanks for any help Anthony |

Re: Charging issues.
Using a digital voltmeter post the individual readings from all six batteries and the pack total ... the cart charger needs a minimum amount of voltage in the pack ( 32v +-?) before it will see the pack and come on ....

Re: Charging issues.
The switch could be a headlight switch. If you can post a photo of the switch and one of the inside of the battery compartment it will make it alot easier to tell what it is.
