Precedent Build
With the help of TahoeDawg (Dave @ Revolution) who has been awesome to work with i'm just getting started on a 05 precedent build from the ground up. Ive got a few questions though and he is on vacation so im trying not to mess with him.
1. Im having a problem downloading the alltrax xct software from there site. Keeping getting a zip is invalid. Can anybody confirm that the current link is good? 2. To avoid having to hook up a 48 to 12 converter for my lights does anybody know of a 48v led light bar? 3.This is probably a stupid quest to most, but are the digital volt meters like this one https://www.amazon.com/Searon-Batter...0E5VZJN30CBYXK calibrated in such a way that when they read all the way to the left, does that literally mean 0v or are they setup to be all the way at the left at say 20% and i need to get the cart to the charger? If it means 0v, at what increment does the cart need to be on the charger? I plan to add a numerical gauge as well but no way my wife is going to be able to read that to know when to stop driving it. Thanks. |

Re: Precedent Build
Scotty (Carts Unlimited) has a good digital meter that gives a numeric readout. http://www.cartsunlimited.net/battery-meters.html
That is much more useful than the fuel gauge type because it tells you exactly the state of the battery. There is a table of voltages on that same page of Scotty's (scroll down the page) that tell you exactly which voltage means which percentage of charge. |

Re: Precedent Build
yea im going to put one of those in my cart, but some random person hopping on there isn't going to know what those numbers correlate with in-regards to level of charge.

LOL, probably correct. Just tell them if the cart starts bucking, ease off the throttle and get home.... I use that exact meter and it's a great one. |

Re: Precedent Build
True. Use Scotty's voltages table to check it yourself against the actual voltages and the mark where you want the lowest point to be. Then tell the driver "Come home before it reaches that point"

Re: Precedent Build
Light bar that runs on 10 to 60 vdc
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0142...ID=61NBEptyAVL I'm running the 32" version on my full 48v pack. You just need to modify the included harness to switch it on and off with included 12v relay. |
