Default Denago carts

Neighbor just bought a Denago cart for less than $8000 brand new. Any positive reviews from anyone here. I have never even looked at carts other than the main three but this looks pretty good and like club car has aluminum frame. Guess the question is should I even consider it or just know I won’t find replacement parts or be able to have it serviced when it breaks down?

I have a Denago Rover XL and love it. It seems to me a clone of the Evolution D5 but comes stock with a few extra features. The parts ship to the US from china, like most do, and the carts are assembled in the US in Florida and Texas.

I've had mine for almost 5 months and love the cart. I have had no issues. Some people have had issues just like any other brand but Denago is really good about taking care of their customers and help dealers to get carts fixed. This is what I have seen posted on FB (add grain of salt here) and our dealer told us that Denago has been good to work with. They like the carts so much and sell so many they dropped the Evolution and Icon line they were selling and kept Advanced (makes icon) along with the Denago. They are also investing in their own line of accessories for the Denago carts specifically like sound systems, light kits and some other stuff.

What I don't like about the cart is the front spent speakers are not good at all. The sound bar is okay if you play with the EQ enough. The regen is a little harsher than what I like. The all terrain tires are noisy. And the accelerator pedal spring is very tight.

I have been able to reprogram the controller for a top speed of 36 with a little quicker acceleration and was able to set the regen down a tad for what feels like to me a smoother decel. I have a soundxtreme soundbar going in with some LED's underneath as well as replacing the front speakers with something a little better. I am adding a trailer hitch and a softer accelerator pedal spring. Also some GTW Fusion street tires because we drive 99% on paved neighborhood streets. Our dealer used our cart as the first they reupholstered with MODZ seat covers that are really nice and gave us an amazing deal on that so we lucked out there. Overall I would recommend it to anyone.

Did you do the programming yourself or the dealer did it? I programmed my ezgo but haven't found much data on the denago. My dealer said they wouldn't do it.

Not this one, they are here to stay. Probably have 40% of the retail market share in less than a year and just opened a factory in Texas (60 million dollars) to build their chassis in the US moving forward ahead of the tariffs coming.

Yes, I have done it. I used a tuning application found in these forums and a cable from Cart Cables to connect my pc to the controller. It’s basically like tuning an Evolution cart. Same/similar FJ controllers.

Tank you for any assistance. I need speed! LOL
FJ licenses don't expire, you just need a FLIC file that matches your controller's response.

Unzip and put this FLIC in the same folder as your evolution exe. Only one FLIC can be in that folder at a time so delete any other FLIC files in that folder. The default 205 FLIC is named "License-HDK-20201118114751.flic", delete that file.

You probably will also see a warning at startup about a mismatched BMS range. Since you won't be messing with your BMS settings, you can ignore that and continue
