Default 4X4 Bad Boy Buggy powered by Navitas,

I screwed up and posted this in the on road carts also, Sorry I hope I'm in the right place now

Hello Everyone, Sorry for a long post I felt it necessary to lay it all out there. I’m sure this is a very common question; I feel like I have a unique circumstance though. I can’t seem to find the information I’d like to find in my research so I’m looking for intel from facts not hearsay. My situation is, I’ve totally repowered a 48 vdc Bad Boy Buggy with a complete Navitas 600-amp controllers and 4k motors front and rear. I suspect my ( 6vdc batteries are tired, I can only get 7 miles from a charge on VERY conservative settings. I have not thoroughly checked them yet, but their (3) year old US batteries. I’m HIGHLY considering going Lithium. I’m only wanting around a 20 + - mile range in 80% off road in fairly hilly terrain. I’m not interested in doing wheelies nor High Speed running. I’ve been looking at every one’s offerings trying to make a decision. Along with the usual questions of what sizes do I need I have another question. I’m sure I need a multi-unit battery pack. One thought I’m looking at is splitting battery packs for front and rear or running one pack for it all. A lesser expensive 72 vdc battery pack is an option also. Please share your thoughts and please try making it easy on my wallet.

If you know electronics, head over to batteryhookup.com and build one. Not too tough. LiFePo4 chemistry is relatively safe and forgiving. Stay away from pouch cells unless you really know your stuff, they can go boom if you screw up.
