Transaxle
I have a 2000 G16A cart that suddenly started making a noise and stopped going foward but would go in reverse. I have taken it apart and I have a stripped input shaft assembly and another gear that is chewed up and a fork that appears to work the governer is bad. I have had the cart a couple years and had no trouble but when I took it apart I noticed someone had welded the bottom of the transaxle and I might as well replace it also. Where could I find a used transaxle as a new one cost more that what I have in the cart. I have priced these parts and it seems like there are $10,000 worth of parts in a $1500 golf cart. lol Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Transaxle
Some of the sponsors have used parts. You can also check with your local golf cart repair shops or Craigslist.

Re: Transaxle
Thanks for the advice. I am checking every place I can. I would hate to junk my cart. The rest of the cart is like new.

Re: Transaxle
Might want to post a "want to buy" add in the for sale section. Sometimes a bike engine builder will no longer need his. Just for thought, you can use a G8/G14 Yamaha transaxle, it will bolt up. www.cartpartsplus.com sells a input shaft at a good price, but you'd need the other gear and most likely the bearings/gears are damaged also. Good luck
