Re: Custom Rear Seat Build
Just a suggestions for safety and comfort. Why not install a receiver hitch now. Then fab a leg/foot rest to extend out just a little. It could match the seat in color and style. With that installed, the child or adult that is sitting in the back doesn't have to leave the feet dangling or dragging, rather they will have a way to extend the legs (more like a recliner) plus it gives a little comfort to the operator, knowing that if you should have to back up or hit a little dip in the trail, road, or driveway, there won't be any little legs/feet to be broken or crushed under the back bumper. Just a thought. Maybe I'm just too anal when it comes to safety.
Nice build. Thanks for sharing. |

Re: Custom Rear Seat Build
Hey Spoiled... Appreciate the feedback and concerns! If you look back and read a little closer, you will see that it is already in the works Just wanted to post the vinyl aspect of it for a couple guys that where kinda waiting on me. I'm also anal when it comes to safety, so I can respect your views and concerns, especially when it comes to the kids

Re: Custom Rear Seat Build
Cheesy, Great pics and explanation on the cover. I noticed your seat kind of has a "dome" appearence to it. How do you make it flat all the way across...like the factory front seat. Is it the foam???
Thanks! |

Re: Custom Rear Seat Build
Yes, the foam is just off an old sofa, and not to firm. You would have much better rsults with the firmer foam that comes stock, as an EZ-GO does. You may still have a slight bevel, due to the stretching required, but it would not be near as noticable with a firmer foam.
