Default Yamaha G22 2006 Steering rack issue.

I just replaced a steering rack on a cart because the old one was in 2 pieces. Upon trying to adjust the steering I can't screw out the tie rod ends enough to get the wheels from being toed in. Any body got a clue what my issue might be? Installed rack is brand new.

Was the old rack the same dimensions/width as the new one?

I ordered a Red Hawk steering rack for a G22 and it fit perfectly. The rack for the G29 looks the same, but it's different...

I ordered a steering box for G22 but never checked it before putting it on as it bolted right in. The old one was split in half and really wasn't reliable to get any comparison with. Although bad on me for not measuring length of inner tie rod ends. It's been disposed of now. I've got another one just like it that I need to replace. Will be doing a lot of measuring on this one. Will even compare all the boxes to make certain we have the right one on both carts. Thanks for the tips.

Did you put the tie rod ends in the correct holes on the steering knuckle?
