Re: 2010 Precedent EcoBattery Upgrade
It really helps if you only drive down hills and never have to go up!

Re: 2010 Precedent EcoBattery Upgrade
With these Eco battery kits, can you just plug the charger in and let it charge over night?

Re: 2010 Precedent EcoBattery Upgrade
It will shut off by itself when it hits 57 volts. I have my charger plugged into a wall outlet timer, although not necessary. I set this at 2 to 5 hours just to remove input power from the charger overnight.

Re: 2010 Precedent EcoBattery Upgrade
I like that the charger is built with mounting holes. I just installed a Dakota and their fast charger is nice but has nothing that will allow me to easily mount it under the seat.
Nice install. |

If you are going to let it sit for extended periods, it is recommended to fully charge, remove the charger, and turn off our Gen 2 batteries that have the power button. If you have a Gen 1 battery and let it sit for extended periods, we suggest charging it, removing the charger and at minimum, turning the run/tow switch to tow. |

We make an attempt to simplify installs and leave your cart as factory appearing as possible. Including cart specific battery mounts and charging ports are a big part of our effort to make our kits just that much better.

Re: 2010 Precedent EcoBattery Upgrade
Dallas - just finished my install (48v 105Ah V2 with power button) and it was glorious and easy - love how it used my existing hold-down hook (CC precedent). My only issue is, there's no manual or instructions for the new style "CAN" digital gauge it came with - anything on that? It seems simple but is there anything to adjust? Anything for dummies to understand?

@jws2010CC - can you post a pic of your digital gauge mount? I have the new version and it's so much thicker than I'm concerned about making it fit. Also you mentioned eagerly awaiting an "application" - what is this? Is there a phone app coming out or something? Please educate me!

Re: 2010 Precedent EcoBattery Upgrade
Hey @edtext. Of course! I used a 2 1/8” hole saw and drilled from the back side of the cover. Marking and then using a dremel would work well too.
About the app... EcoBattery is developing an android and iOS app that will give us more information and options for our batteries in the near future. Some battery companies may already have an app for their bms. Eco has and is proving to do well with their R&D, so I’m not worried about waiting on it. It will happen soon, but it will probably have to go through an Android/Apple review before being available in those app stores.IMG_4341.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
