Need help with dipstick tube o ring
So looks like I have an oil leak where the dipstick tube enters the engine. I have been trying to locate a part number to order the o ring but only one I can find is for the oil filter. Can anyone post a number so I can get one on order?
Also it looks like there is an alternate opening on the back of the engine for the dipstick tube. There is a plug that goes there and would like to replace that also if there is a part number to order. Thanks for any help..... |

Re: Need help with dipstick tube o ring
Call David Hicks at Revolution Golf Cars. I don’t know if that plug is still available through Club Car, but he would know and can get you both that and the o-ring.
If it’s not available, go to just about any auto parts store and get a 3/4” expanding rubber hole plug, (might also be called an expansion hole plug) and most parts stores should be able to match up the o-ring. |

Re: Need help with dipstick tube o ring
Make sure that is where it is coming from. Side case gasket is the most common leak on a CC and it can look like it is coming from that O ring. Granted, the O ring takes all of 5 minutes to change, so it cant hurt to do that first.

Good info, thanks. I will take care of the easy fix first and see if the leak is stopped, then tackle the gasket if needed.

My 290 was leaking out of that side case cover when i bought it. Seems pretty common.

No you don’t need to drain the oil first.
I’ve always just matched it up with one in my general o ring kit... |
