Re: Question about Motor Terminals
Thanks for moving those Roady89. I have since put my ClubCar motor on the Yamaha differential (I was rather surprised that worked, but it did), and I posted the following question in the Electric Yamaha forum. However, I'm not sure if it belongs over there or not now, so I'll post here too unless someone has a problem with that. Thanks for all your help, here's what I posted:
"here's an embarrassing little question: My ClubCar motor had a glob of what looked like Bondo on the armature near the head when I bought it (used). I asked a mechanic about it and he said he couldn't see them using it for balance, and I should remove it, so I did. However, a couple of days ago I stumbled across a pic of a motor on eBay with the same glob underneath which photo a caption read: "factory balanced for peak performance." Have I erred irretrievably? The motor still works, but I wonder if I should try to put another glob of whatsit onto the armature." |
