Icon mounting SoundExtreme SEB26

I'm about to go ahead and jump and buy this ECOXGEAR SoundExtreme SEB26 Rechargeable soundbar, I spoke to a local dealer who recommended it and he mentioned that they "install a steel bar" when installing it on ICON i40L's.

Anyone installed this rechargeable one on an ICON i40L and have any idea if that's really necessary? Or can you mount it fine with the hardware that comes with the bar?

I plan to put it up front above steering wheel/etc of course.

I can't speak for the ecoxgear, but I had my dealer install the powerbass xl 1250 the same way you mention, with a semi custom steel bar across the top. It makes for an incredibly clean looking install. I'm assuming it adds some rigidity to the whole install as well as this thing is pretty heavy, but who knows.

I'll go take some pics so you can judge for yourself if it's worth whatever they're charging.
