Default CC Precedent - Leaf springs too short?

Hi all,

I'm installing new rear leaf bushings and having an issue getting the front bolt back in. The opening for the bolt in the leaf appears to be a half inch too far towards back of the cart. The rear position installed easy enough with the front in place (but the front bushings were disintegrated so it had the play). I did not know beforehand, but the cart has HD rear leafs. Part number listed is MISP1000HD.

Does anyone have a suggestion on where to put weight, etc so the spring stretches out and can be installed? I tried jacking up under the diff and in a few other positions.

Thanks,
Ray

The rear spring hangers are mounted on shackles that will hinge back and forth. Jack the cart up and put the body on jack stands and you can move the rear end and springs as far as you need to mount the front. It hinges on the back. Actually it's easiest to put the front bolts in first then you have the flexible shackles right in your hands when you're bolting the rear.

Be aware that there is a front and back to the springs or maybe I should say that there are leading and trailing mounting holes.
