Default Rearend Fluid

What rearend fluid are you guys using?

The fluid that came out of the rearend smells like actual rearend fluid so i was going to put 80W90 in it but since looking up the correct weight in the manual im confused why the 30WT would smell like rearend fluid.

The manual says 22oz of SAE 30 WT. API Class SE, SF, or SG Oil (or higher).

That is the same oil I use in my Precedent, since it does not have hypoid gears that can benefit from the typical gear oils, I will stick with the recommendation of the engineers that designed the cart:

Edit:

The guys at plumquick that know a thing or two about high performance golf carts recommend the same motor oil, although the 5w-30 they mentioned may be a better option for colder climates:

I used 80W90 full synthetic Lucas gear oil on mine.

I have a question
I had to fix the drain plug threads on the casing and since I had the axel off the cart I filled the axel standing up since it was way easier by myself. I installed the axel back and after a few months I just realized today I put 30 oz ( I spilled a little from the 32. oz) versus the recommended 22 oz is that a major issue ?
It took all the fluid so I didn't even realize what I was doing at the time but it just hit me now
