Icon programming/speed limit?

Not sure if this has been mentioned before but my cart came from the factory with a 7k max setting available without editing the xml. I’ve noticed a lot of posts stating that the max limit is set at 6000. My cart was also shipped with a 5500 setting. My cart is a 21’ Icon I40L.

Cranked my 21’ I40L up to 8000 today. Checked speed with gps and 36mph is the best I could get. That’s a flat surface, fully charged trojans w/ pedal to the floor for about a mile .

How did you set it to 8000 - my controller SW only allows for 7000 max

you need to locate the config file that the program is using and edit the max limit that is set by the factory. Atrain has posted some info regarding this procedure.

Just go on google and search boot camp. I believe You don’t need a new computer as most MacBooks run windows just fine.

Question on lifted I40L’s

What NEOS program settings are best for max speed and torque? I’ve downloaded the program and built the cable successfully and have increased the Max FWD Speed. What other settings will make the cart run solid??

Does it matter if you have a 4 or 5 KW motor on what RPMs are set at?

No. It's just the RPM ceiling, so if your motor can't do it, it just won't. Where it would matter I think is if you had the cart on jack stands and the wheels were spinning free, then you could max some things out.
