2007 CC Project
Well I have had my cart for one week now, so it is time to start fixing it the way I want it.This thread may run a while due to limited time/funds (hint my name). I want to eventually add lights, back seat, wheels and tires and stereo system.Don't think I am going to mess with anything to make it faster. It will go about 16mph per gps.Thats fast enough for me.
Well here it is.It came from Memphis Tn.,TPC @ Southwind the saint jude classic.I told my wife that some pros could have possibly been on it. Started with the stereo first today.Didn't get anything terribly expensive.got the radio,5 1/4 inch speakers and a small battery box to run the stereo. After thinking all week I finally decided I wanted it in the dash.I looked at all options and didn't like any of the above consoles.Wanted something solid so I started working on a dash today.I got a little done on it.Back at it tommorrow. Here are a few pictures. |

Looks like your off to a good start. I have played Southwind 1 time years ago, used to live a Lincoln on the Green.

Re: 2007 CC Project
Well had to think of a way to mount everything today, so I came up with this. The outside speaker boards go into a slot and mount with one screw on the sides.
Mounted the panel that the radio is on also.Drilled 2 holes in the bottom of the golfball holder.Attached a bottom board to the radio panel to attach to.Then drilled a hole to match the golfball holder.Pretty solid after that. Temporality hooked my sons electric tractor battery to try it out.Maybe take it all back apart this week or next and glue everthing.A little fiberglass and some black vinyl. |

More pictures.
Speaker brackets on each side.Should not be any screws showing when I finish. Rode around and played it for a while. |

Re: 2007 CC Project
Well, cut some holes out for some switches and 2 for battery gauges.Trying to flush mount them.Added another 1/4 inch board to the front and put a little resin on it.Starting to look ok.
Covered it it black vinyl. Almost there. |
