Default Villager 2+2 LX LSV

Hope everyone has a great Memorial Day Weekend. Being USAF retired this is a special day for remembering all that have served in US Armed Forces and given their lives for our freedom.

Back on track. It has now become apparent that we need to be a 2 cart family. I was thinking of buying my wife a new Villager 2+2 LX LSV. Can't seem to find any used one is the reason for the "New".

Have a few questions:

Do these carts come with a VIN?
What if anything would they have to have to be registered and licensed in Florida?

Any Villager 2+2 LX LSV experiences or advise would be greatly appreciated.

Unless you are hard over on a Club Car have you considered the EZGO 2Five? EZGO's LSV. 4 wheel hydraulic DISC brakes, switchable speeds (14mph and 25mph), AC drive so it doesn't slow down going uphill. A few of them around here. Very impressive.
Just a thought. I'm not in the business.

I think either one comes with a VIN

Very interesting, I have always wondered what made the AC system better...

Appreciate the info. This new buggy thing started from when we looked at a new StarEV. I had heard some bad things about StarEV being a "Cheap EZGO clone", but the concept of a turn key cart for the street grabbed our interest.

Now the A/C motor needs further investigation.

Manufacturer info is available at club car.com and ezgo.com.

Cub Car calls their LSV a Villager now but they also used that name for some models of older DS's with a factory rear seat and lights I think. Could be confusing if shopping for a used LSV.

The 2Five is based on the RXV which is a standard golf cart just like the TXT or Precedent. The RXV has a controller that converts the standard 48v DC power to AC feeding a 3 Phase AC motor. Its been available since 2008. Its speed is adjustable with a hand held just like new club cars with the top speed available being 19.6. In practice in my area the RXVs appear to be much faster than they are because once rolling to about 3mph, acceleration is brisk right up to ~20mph even when loaded (3-4 adults) and they don't slow down uphill. The 2Five operates the same way with top speed set at 25mph and adds 4 wheel Disc brakes on top of all the street legal stuff right down to the lighted tag bracket. On 4 pax models the rear seat flips over backwards revealing an enclosed bag well, essentially a trunk. I have this feature on my TXT and we love it. It will hold a surprising amount of groceries or whatever.

They are pricey and I haven't compared it to the Villager but most likely they are similar.

Found a interesting street cart. Tomberlin Anvil.

Doing research is half the fun. :-)
