New US Batteries
I am looking at getting a set of "brand new" US battery US2000XC batteries from a guy on craigslist. He said he bought them 2 months ago but never installed them. Is there anything specific I need to be looking for when purchasing these? I am getting all 6 for $300 so it's a smoking deal. Thanks for all you help.
Here is a link to the battery: http://www.usbattery.com/usb_us2000xc_golf.html |

Re: New US Batteries
Mate if you can get 6 Batteries for that kind of money i would be very hesatent in buying them. Even getting 3 for that money is good.
In relation to your question you just want to make sure that all 6 are producing the same voltage 6.37V is a 100% battery and 6.25V is a 80% battery after a full charge and resting for about 12 hours. Second you want good specific gravity on a battery hydrometer. Finally if you cant do any of these's checks then you should at lest make sure the date stamped on them is 13 (usually on the lead post) this shows they were made in 2013 and havent been sitting for years |

Re: New US Batteries
I'm not sure what kind of tests I could do besides testing with a volt meter. Would that be sufficient enough if the date on the posts are from 2013? I am skeptical about these but for the price I feel like I can't pass them up. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Re: New US Batteries
what kind of voltage do you think I should be getting if they are new and have been sitting for a few months?

Re: New US Batteries
I just picked the batteries up and they were all reading over 6 volts. Right around 6.05 to be exact but they have never been on a charger. The code on it was a little misleading because it was E3X but there is no way they are 10 years old. After a little research I think the 0 stamped on the negative post means 2010 and the 3 would be 2013. It looks like they are from May 2013 from the Corona, CA plant. Can anyone else shed any light on this? Am I wrong? I guess I will find out how good they are once I install them.

Re: New US Batteries
I pretty confident you just wasted $300.00 , if you r lucky you might get a year or six months out of them
My advice you get what you paid for Cheers ! |
