Default slow 2000 1/2 electric club car

I have a 2000 1/2 electric club car with 2006 batteries. The batteries were tested and they are fine. Is there any speed controls on it. It goes so slow I could probably jog next to it. Everybody keeps telling me to get rid of it. is there anything I can do to speed it up?

Thank you

is it a 36 or 48 volt? and yes you can get more speed b ut its not cheap.......if your looking for just 3 mph more or so that will set you back about 100 dollars but if you want the cart doing like 25 or so thats gonna cost ya..........stock speed is 12 to 14 mph and less going up hill.....................

It's a 36 volt. What do they have to do to speed it up?

1) Hook chain to front bumper.

2) Hook chain to back bumper of a "CHEVY" pickup.

3)Drive chevy at desired speed.

Might not be the only way to speed it up but it is the cheepest.
