94 Marathon Cutting Out At Full throttle
Hi
I just purchased a 94 Marathon as a rescue project. I replaced the batteries and when I floor the accelerator pedal it cuts out. When I let off the pedal a little it runs abot 11-12 mph with no problem. Is there an easy way an easy way to adjust the throttle linkage on the marathon to avoid it cutting out? Thanks for your help! |

Sounds like the Pot-Box throttle is going over 7000 Ohms, which the controller interprets an open potentiometer and shuts down.
I've never seen one, so I don't know if it is easy or not, but here are a couple things that might help you figure out how to adjust it. |

I've had this problem and adjusted the pot box as described above. Use the search function and there are s few threads that give u a step by step on how to adjust with use of a multimeter. Pretty simple and I haven't had a problem with it cutting out ever since
