t/s in progress...cart won't run
Oh lords of infinate wisdom,
97, CC, PD+, former regen 1 (installed a new FSIP controller with a conversion pigtail), absolutely could not find a stock computer so I have a 98 OBC (the 2 extra wires, blue and white, are tied to high after the key switch) I've got all of my parts. they are all installed. I've double and tripple checked the wiring. she still won't run. When I turn the key the solenoid clicks and then turns off (after about 1 second) the reverse buzzer sounds on demand (not a huge accomplishment) All voltages to the controller have been checked except for the tach input. the continuity of tyhe motor is good. A1 to A2, F1 to F2, A1 to F1. the base level for the potentiometer (3.5V) is correct, and it dropt to zero as the accelerator is pressed. The microswitch closes as expected and provides voltage to the controller. Things that are nor right: the solenoid does not engage when the pedal is pressed. The armature reads source at all times (assuming that the key is on) and the field coils read 0V at all times. HELP!!!!!! |

When you hear the Solenoid close does it have Voltage across the Big Lugs .
And when it releases after 1 Sec. does it still have the correct control Voltage to the Small lugs ? |

Re: t/s in progress...cart won't run
there is 50V on both sides (referenced to ground) of the solenoid even when it's not closed. 50V is also on the coil. If I hotwire the solenoid than ground the blue wire side the solenoid stays on, but the wheels still won't turn. I'm sure that this is some simple interlock function that is preventing it from working, but I don't know of anything else to try.
