how do you disable the back up buzzer on an electric ezgo golf cart?

The back up alarm has 2 wires going to it, if either wire is disconnected the beeper will not work. Beeper location varies by year and drive system

IMO, very bad idea and depending on the cart may mess damage the controller. Depending on which cart you have the buzzer may be under the seat by the FnR switch or behind the key switch. Couple of pieces of electrical tape will usually quiet it enough..

Some RXV will not run without buzzer (2012.5 & prior). I dont think it can damage controller tho. I also think its a bad idea, just put some fuzzy velcro over the hole on buzzer, makes a huge difference in volume.

Consider the BUB a speaker; find it and disconnect it....

might be legal ramifications if used by others or in public areas
or if someone gets injured because they didn't hear it coming...
also the back up buzzer is used to provide error codes for problems

all said, i unplugged mine, tho i am only one to drive it,
and only on my own property

depending on your cart it is easy to do
mine was under the dash, if you know where it is you can reach under front bumper
otherwise pull out the cup holders and reach in that way

Unless its a "danaher" model rxv, then you have a non running golf cart until you hook it back up. Controller checks for its presence.

Also, some PDS carts will default to "Golf" mode only if beeper is disconnected.
