Default ScottyB Alltrax 500,wires,400A &202 install

Hey all,
Installing a new kit from ScottyB and I have a question or two.
Moving through the install and have the new 2gauge wires with new controller (see everything above in the title).
I am trying to find out why 2gauge power wire #3 is approx 4 feet long? On his diagram instructions it shows going from the B+ connection on the controller, (along with #2 which goes to the solenoid) to a connection on the reversing contactor. I have them mounted just a few inches away from each other,so I am not sure why the length of approx. 4’ ? Am I missing something or have something hooked up in the wrong place ? The wire has a band attached to it,with a #3 on it. The rest of the large wires correlate with the numbers on them, for the length that they are.
Not sure how to attach pictures here, yet but will try. Also my internet is down so I am trying to do this message on my phone.
