WTB Yamaha G9 Electric throttle assembly
My G9 came with the Peddle and the arm that goes to the "Pot Box" and even has the Potentiometer. The box assembly and receiving arm are gone.
Not sure if anyone would have this sitting around but figure its worth a shot. I have seen some Curtis PB-6 type on eBay and Amazon that are similar and look like it would be easy to adapt to the G9 and I am using an Axe controller so I know I can adjust to that PB-6 0 to 5k instead of OEM 0 to 1k. Also some cheep Chinese peddle replacements, but If I can help it I would rather use something as close to original as possible. HAHA I am thinking about some other guy down the road trying to figure out what the heck I installed should I ever sell it. Edit: I attached a pic to show what is missing. If you have the parts or any advice on this I would greatly appreciate some feedback. Brian |

Re: WTB Yamaha G9 Electric throttle assembly
Just bringing this thread back to the top....
Does anyone have an opinion on using this Potentiometer? https://www.ebay.com/itm/27385672162...53.m1438.l2649 It will go with an older (2012) Alltrax Axe 4845 controller. This looks the most similar (and easy to make fit) to what is missing from my Yamaha. Brian |

Re: WTB Yamaha G9 Electric throttle assembly
Should work just great, same one I plan on using in the conversion of my old Cushman to solid state. I am going to be using a Curtis Controller, just need to be sure your alltrax is compatible with a 0-5K pot. Even at that wouldn't be very difficult to change it over to a 5-0K control.

Re: WTB Yamaha G9 Electric throttle assembly
The AXE controller is adjustable as far as I know, I am going to hook it up to the computer again to make sure this is an option before I order it.
The controller has the 0-5k scratched with sharpie and it is written 0-1k. I am sure that was done because it was programed 0-1k for Yamaha before it was shipped. But want to be 100% sure it can be changed back. |
