Okay, got it. Battery pack voltage at orange pin 4 (correct pin) in both positions. Unplugged 4 pin and still has voltage in both directions. Adapter ls fairly new, but there are a couple 'looped' wires. Is that normal, or has the adapter been modified.

I think I'm getting close thanks to you guys!!!!

... And it seems that the black wire that is looped back into the orange wire has a diode in it. Could it be? Off to get a diode to replace this one.

To be continued...

There are actually two diodes in the adapter. The Anodes connect to Adapter J1 Pins 2 (Reverse) or 3 (Forward) and both Cathodes are connected to Adapter J1 Pin-9.

The diode connected to Adapter J1 Pin-2 is probably the bad one, but it could also be something shorting from Pin-1 to Pin-2 on that same jack.

The PDS to DCX adapter is a plumber's nightmare. I'm fairly decent at tracing out circuits on schematics and I get lost and have to backtrack several times, every time I troubleshoot it.

Thank you. It's nice to be back on the road. Wife and kids (even the dog) were super excited! Thanks again for your guidance.

Good looking cart & Good Work, JohnnieB and Jason.

Nice to know what the problem was all summer

Another alternative would be a new adapter.
