Problem with EZ-GO
Hi all,
I am new to the site and need a little help. I have what I belive is a 98' 36 volt cart. Today when I was out driving it, I heard a little popping sound and shortly after rolled to a stop. It wont do anything at this point. It no longer makes the "beeping" noise when in reverse. The batteries are about 3 months old. Could this be as simple as a solenoid problem? Thanks for any help |

Re: Problem with EZ-GO
Sounds pretty typical of a loose battery wire connection. Inspect all of the connections on the battery terminals and look for one that looks burned or melted. That'll be your problem. Check the battery cables by giving them a tug. Tighten them if they are loose.

Did you loosen them up one at a time and retighten them? (you should) You have lost power somewhere, thats why your reverse buzzer doesn't work anymore. 95% of the time when you hear popping its a cable or the controller frying. Check your micro switches and make sure they "click"...even then that doesn't mean they are good. |

Re: Problem with EZ-GO
I wouldn't rule out a short? A Short can drain a battery PDQ.
