Default Power Drive Charger

Have 2002 Club Car 48 volt
have power drive charger - wont click on - if it does click on for 4 to 5 seconds it clicks back off and stays off
tried neighbors identical charger it works fine and is charging now

Shop wants minimum $100.00 to fix charger or used one is $275 or new one for $400.00

I took apart has a 3 point fuse on face of charger next to the amp charging meter appears a bit rusted under the glass

saw inside parts - only the reset connecter from front face switch
and
1 junction box where maybe 4 wires plug into
all other wires and connecters are solid and clean
besides the transformer only 3 parts ???
What do you think ???
does anyone have advise, knowledge or suggestion on this please ???
Thank You
Ray

the "junction box" is a 48 volt relay. They cost about $30 or so. I would suggest replacing that part and trying your charger out.

Sounds like the relay. Had the same problem. You can bypass the relay to check it. Be careful, don't try it if you are not sure what you are doing. Also, did you check the 20 amp breaker?

Good job! Glad it works. I've gotten so much help on this site. Where else can you get advise from so many professionals?
