OBC and charging
I understand the OBC recognizes the use of the cart and regulates the current from the charger (power drive 2) but what about new or charged batteries?
The reason I ask is because I’m going to be disconnecting my fully charged bank from the cart for a few days. When I reconnect the bank, the OBC will be reset because it sat to long with no power. Will the OBC tell the charger to keep charging the pack even if it’s full? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: OBC and charging
It will start it back and top off the charge off manually and not by counting energy units used. This is done periodically by many users just to reset the OBC and allow a new baseline.

Re: OBC and charging
It will just monitor current and charge voltage until it determines the batteries are full based on preset programming in the OBC. It will be something similar to an equalization charge, but the time it takes will vary depending on the charge level of the pack wen its re-installed.
After that initial charge, the OBC it will start over with counting charge units, and will charge normally from there. The same thing happens during a battery change. |
