2006 Club Car Precedent Winter Build
Some of you have already seen a few of these photos so I apologize in advance. I wanted to post this for myself but also so maybe it will help others.
For starters, the cart is a 2006 Club Car Precedent. I bought it for $600 and had no clue of its history. It ran in forward and reverse but its batteries were on its last legs. It didn't seem to run over 8mph and I was guessing that was due to the batteries but I am not sure. I ended up tearing into it and it almost seems like it has been underwater at some point or someone treated it like a 4 wheeler. Every component seems to be caked in mud and it has quite a bit of corrosion/rust. For some reason I started disassembling the entire cart and at this point it is down to the FRAME! The plan for this cart was to do a lift, add a rear seat, convert it from 12v to 8v batteries, and add tires/rims. At this point I have already ordered a lot more than I had planned. Below is what I have already ordered...
Here are some pictures of when I bought it... |

Re: 2006 Club Car Precedent Winter Build
Here is how the cart sits currently. The frame had a lot of corrosion so I have been trying to get it cleaned up and it has been taking a lot of time! I am also trying to clean up each of the pieces as I put it back together. Some of the steel pieces will need to be painted as I am using a wire brush to clean up some of the rusted spots.

I'd say there is a reason this was sold for $600.
From this thread and the other on the steering, it does look like it's been under water. Hopefully it wasn't completely submerged and some of the electronics can be saved. |

Looks like mine after Hermine flooded it earlier this year.

The used wiring harness that you ordered, what year cart did it come out of?

Not too worried about the electronics as it seems at this point I have ordered the stuff to replace most of it. The OBC will get by passed as I will be ordering a new charger when I do the batteries. |

David at Revolution Golf Cars would be the one to answer this as I have ordered everything through him so far. He has been a great help and very patient. |

If David is taking care of you, then you have no worries. He is the best! I only brought up the wiring harness because you mentioned converting to 6 8 volt batteries, on the newer precedents the controllers are on the back wall of the battery box to make more room for 6 batteries. I was just going to suggest a newer model harness would be longer, and would allow for moving the controller.

The harness came out of a 2007. He's talking about doing the do-it-yourself battery conversion that leaves the electronics in the stock location. We talked about the battery conversion but decided that the bucket would be too expensive to ship since it has to go via motor freight due to size.
