Cart acted dead on fully charged pack
Had the cart out this weekend and it slowed to a weak crawl after riding around the lake for about 35 minutes. I checked the pack voltage and it was at 38.0. It did the same thing the next day just climbing a small hill (driveway actually) and the pack checked out 38.1. It has the stock F&R switch and what I found out today is a 50 amp solenoid. The F&R switch was not hot and I didn't think to check the solenoid. Could I have fried the solenoid? Everything is stock except what is in my signature. Thanks in advance,
Charles |

Re: Cart acted dead on fully charged pack
With 4 gauge cables and a 400 amp controller, a 50 amp solenoid is definitely a bottleneck.
Attach you DVM probes to the main (Battery side & Controller side) terminals on the solenoid and check it when the problem occurs. If there is voltage across the solenoids high current contacts, there is a problem with it. JB |

Re: Cart acted dead on fully charged pack
That's what I'm thinking Johnnie. I forgot to mention that the pack is 2 months old and all of the batteries checked within 0.04 volts of each other. It might be time for a ScottyB call.
