PH1307-345980 speed issues
Hello! I am new to this forum as well as to club cart ownership. I recently purchased a 2013 Club Cart Precedent. It has 8 brand new batteries.
I am not happy with the speed. Is there any way to increase the speed? I have seen videos on high speed magnets or perhaps code programming (?). I am very handy, and with good directions/information I want to get this thing a little faster. Thanks for your help. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

You should have only 6 batteries in a precedent. Typo maybe?
A PH serial number is an Excel drive system if I remember right, which means no "speed magnet" option to get higher speed. But depending how fast it's going now you could have an issue. Use a GPS or app for your phone and see how fast it's going. 14mph on flat ground is normal. 8mph on flat ground may mean the cart is in limp mode. |

Yeah about 14 on flat. If magnet is not an option, what would be? Thank you.

Re: PH1307-345980 speed issues
You can have a dealer reprogram the controller to speed code 4 which would allow you 19.5 mph. It will not give the cart any extra power, so climbing hills or accelerating will feel no different. This is usually $100 or so, but may depend on the shop doing the work.
Another option, but more expensive is an Alltrax XCT controller which will get you into the low 20's, possibly up to 25mph depending on your tire size. This will also give you more torque for accelerating, and climbing hills. And will also give you the ability to upgrade the motor should you ever desire more power. |
