Default intermittent throttle issues

Hello, this is my first cart and it has some issues. But first maybe it is important to figure out the exact model and year so I can find the correct manual. You will see an attached photo of the build tag with serial number. I have found this manual on line here on this forum.

C:\Users\bessey\AppData\Local\Temp\28646.pdf

Things from this manual look like things from my buggy. If this is the correct one than good, if not then I need to find one.

But to the problem, if I step on the throttle and take it to full throttle I the buggy won't move. I have to in a way feather it slowly until I here the limit switch/relay click then it will start to go. Until Saturday I went to drive it after it setting a couple of days and nothing, I couldn't get it to drive for nothing. So let it sit over night, I was planning on bringing it home to diagnosis. When I did I decided to try and drive it on to the trailer and it ran like it had been. Anybody have any ideas, if that is the right manual then I can follow the flow chart.

I will take one step at a time, but I will say upgrades for these are overwhelming. Once I do figure the problem out, I would like to go though and hit up some maintenance points. First upgrade will be adding a stereo, and I have seen some ideas around here for adding a drop voltage regulator, to run lower voltage accessories.

That was quite a bit so we will leave it there for now. Anyway looking for any input. Thanks folks.

I entered that into the "shop e-z go" serial # finder and it came back as a
year 2000 TXT PDS.

I had a guess that, that is what it was. Do you by chance have a link for the "shop e-z go" serial number finder?

Thanks for your help,

I do believe that someone around here said that the manual for the 2001 and up will be correct for the 2000 as well. At least I have a starting point.

The 2000 PDS came in two flavors. The early ones had a F/R selector by the driver's knee, while the later ones had a rocker switch located next to the key switch.

Except for the wiring harness , they are both about the same.

Where is your F/R selector located?

When the cart is misbehaving, does the solenoid click when the pedal is pushed?

The selector switch is located next to the key switch.

I do hear a click, rather it be the solenoid or some other switch. I hear it for a quick second at an early point while depressing the throttle pedal.

Good, you have the later version. The 28646-G01 manual you have applies.

Put the controller in diagnostic mode and see if it is putting out any error codes.
The text at the bottom of attache label, tell you how to get into diagnostic mode.

Ok I gave the diagnostics a try and could not get any beeps. Maybe the problem I think I have isn't a problem. But know I know of the solenoid you speak of. Which before I never heard, I was thinking of the lever switch under the floor board is what I was hearing. Now that I know what to listen for and have a manual, I should be able to pinpoint I the problem when it happens again.

Just to be clear, I thought I was having one problem which lead to another. But I wonder if the one is normal operations and the second could be something acting up.

I will try and post a video later. I had one but it won't post.
